Bio: 

Shawn provides departmental leadership for using technology in teaching, learning, community building and research. She manages and provides assistance in the direct integration of technology into course curricula, extra-curricular or co-curricular learning, and research projects. She also leads the development of resources, seminars, courses, or workshops to disseminate information about users of technology.

Since joining Stanford GSE-IT in 2005, SSince joining Stanford GSE-IT in 2005, Shawn co-developed various online learning modules, professional development certification program, and introduced many new educational tools to the community. Shawn also has taken a role in administering Blackboard, Canvas and Qualtrics as well as in training student, staff, and faculty in various Academic programs such as MS Office, Endnote, Qualitative software (Hyperresearch and Nvivo), Flash, and Windows Movie Maker. She also has working knowledge of observation-based qualitative research and experiment-based quantitative research design and data analysis. 

Shawn received her bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering and master's degree in Industrial and System Engineering and worked at Hewlett Packard for 4 years managing client/server application and system design projects.
